Student wins global entrepreneur awardDominic Coryell, a finance/accounting major, was recognized by the Entrepreneurs' Organization as the winner of the 2008 Global Student Entrepreneur Awards.

Law dean named to Obama transition team
Law Dean Emily Spieler has been named to President-elect Barack Obama’s transition team. She will serve on the team reviewing the Department of Labor until shortly before the Jan. 20 inauguration.
Robotics projects for stroke rehab receive federal grants
Northeastern’s breakthrough robotic technology has once again received funding from the National Science Foundation. Two inventions for stroke rehabilitation by engineering professor Constantinos Mavroidis and his team will receive more than $1 million over the next three years.
